New Six Week Session: Tuesday, April 27 to June 1st!

6:30 p.m. – Basic WCS. Learn the basic patterns and technique of WCS. We make sure you learn it right the first time, so you don’t have to go back and relearn correct technique later. This is also a good class for dancers who want to take some time to focus on basics or for dancers who haven’t danced in a while and need a refresher.

7:20 p.m. – Hustle 201. Due to popular demand, we’re continuing with hustle! We’ll teach hustle turning technique, styling, plus more advanced moves that will impress on the dancefloor!

8:10 p.m. – Intermediate/Pre-Advanced WCS. We’re ramping up the energy with patterns, styling, syncopations, musicality and connection. This is an everything class that will push your limits. Instructor permission required to take this class.

6:30 p.m. – Advancing your Basics

We’ll review the basic patterns of WCS and begin learning simple syncopations and turning technique. Plus connection, connection, connection! This class is great for dancers who want to improve and build on the basics.

7:20 p.m. – Beginner Hustle

WCS and Hustle go together like peanut butter and jelly; go to any WCS dance, locally or nationally, and you’ll find hustle on the dance floor! Come learn this smooth, fun nightclub dance. Steve has been dancing and teaching this dance longer than he’s been dancing and teaching WCS, so you’re in great hands!

8:10 p.m. – Intermediate/Pre-Advanced

We’re ramping up your dancing with patterns, styling, musicality and connection. This is an everything class that will push your limits. Instructor permission required to take this class.

9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. OPEN DJ’d DANCE! Only $3. EVERY TUESDAY
Swing, funk, pop, blues, R&B, hustle and more.

We’ll be hosting a dance at Physikos (302 N. Goodman St.; second floor above Salenas) this SATURDAY, Feb. 20th!

We’ll be spinning a mix of WCS and Hustle, thanks to hustle workshops happening earlier in the day with hustle pro Stephanie Risser. We’re excited for the workshops, and excited to try out all our new moves!

Steve and I will be teaching a basic hustle lesson at 7 p.m. in case you couldn’t make the workshops and still want to learn some hustle, or just want to work more on your basics.

Lesson: 7 p.m. ($5)

Dance: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ($5)

Learn the basic patterns of West Coast Swing plus the technique and “look” of WCS that you will take with you every time you step on a dance floor. WCS is a versatile dance that can be danced to swing, funk, pop, blues and more. It has been featured on So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars.

7:20 p.m. – Musicality

This class will help you hear the music and interpret it with your body. You’ll emerge with a movement vocabulary and understanding of musical structure to help you hit all the breaks. Basic WCS knowledge required.

8:10 p.m. – Intermediate/Pre-Advanced

Patterns, styling, musicality and connection. This is an everything class that will push your limits. Instructor permission required to take this class.
